In Genesis 2:7 and 8

7 And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living person.

8 Further, Jehovah God planted a garden in Eʹden, toward the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed

And verse 15 says
Jehovah God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eʹden to cultivate it and to take care of it.

To me it seems the order was, first he created Adam, and then he created the garden of Eden and put Adam into the garden.

So where was Adam before he was taken / put / settled in the garden?

To me it seems as though possibly by the narrative saying "further" it may be suggesting that further explaining the events that took place, like saying "also"
God created also during that time the garden of eden and placed Adam within the garden?

Well, thanks for the reply.
It could mean that, but if so, why doesn't it say that. I agree that logically Jehovah would create the suitable place for his first human creation before, rather than wait until after. But if you were given the responsibility of penning Genesis account would you not show the chronological order that you were inspired to write. It does not say "Jehovah God planted a garden in Eʹden, toward the east; and then formed the man out of dust in the garden. It is the other way round. And it distinctly says He PUT the man whom he had formed there. If something is already in place you don't say put there. It is already there. Verse 15 also says Jehovah God took the man and settled him... If you take something to somewhere else does that not give the impression of travel, movement from one place to another?
To me it seems to imply that Adam was formed before there was Eden. Verse 5 gives a description of the Earth before Adam was created and it  gives a description of what the condition was like when Adam was formed. Surely if Eden was already there the information would be put between verses 6 and 7 not after, in verse 8
So it could mean that Adam lived for a while on the Earth comfortably then was escorted to the garden as it was then Jehovah's purpose for him to procreate and have children in the paradise garden of Eden. Kind of like the next stage of human existence. A nice new place to bring up a family.

Maybe things looked the way they did as he and Eve were escorted out of the Garden. If that's the case, I could see it serving the purpose of showing Adam how good he has it now that he's in the Garden. An inspiration of sorts to listen to Jehovah, otherwise you'll be on the outside looking in.

Yes I understand, but you have to consider that the scriptures say that me were born along by holy spirit, so it is how the holy spirit directed Moses to record it.

Maybe Adam was created to the west of Eden because, if the paradise east of Eden was a beautiful garden, then the rest of Eden, west, north and south may have been a desolate waste and uninhabitable? Gen 2:22 speaks of God bringing Eve to Adam in the garden, so maybe she was formed whilst in the wilderness too. They were to cultivate and take care of the garden and had they not sinned, the rest of Eden would have become a paradise which would then have spread worldwide.
